OUR STORY

What We Do

Friend in Field began as a focused vision to combine expert veterinary care with the highest standards in canine breeding and training. Founded by Dr. Doyle, a veterinarian with deep roots in animal care and a passion for field dogs, the program has grown into a premier training operation for elite and imported  British Labradors, British working Cockers, and English Springer Spaniels. Over the years, our passion has grown into bringing over dogs with champion pedigrees and proven field trial successes, adapting their training to align with U.S. standards and consistently producing Field Champions.

Today, Friend in Field operates on a fully integrated property that includes a veterinary clinic and thoughtfully designed facilities tailored to canine development. With isolated, camera-monitored whelping rooms, on-site staff housing, and exposure to birds from an early age, every detail supports the health, comfort, and growth of each dog. The expansive grounds—with ponds and streams, upland habitats, and varied terrain—offer an ideal environment for training and living. At its core, Friend in Field remains rooted in a philosophy of continual growth, quality, and approachability—welcoming others to experience the work firsthand.
