Our Facilities

A Legacy of Land and Purpose
Friend in Field is proud to call Fort Monte, SC home — a family owned property rich in tradition and natural beauty, the land operates as a working preserve where both wild and captive-bred quail, chukar, and pheasant are released.
The diversity of the terrain—from rolling upland cover and oak bottoms to gulleys and numerous ponds and streams —offers our dogs authentic exposure to the environments they’ll work in. With multiple bird pens adjacent to our facilities, our dogs are immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of the field from their earliest days.

Built for the Dogs
Our facilities are designed with one goal in mind: the health, development, and success of every dog we raise and train. From birth through training, every detail supports their wellbeing.
Highlights include
On-site veterinary clinic for both immediate and long-term care.
Isolated whelping rooms with dedicated air systems, sinks, drains and cameras.
Staff housing adjacent to whelping suites for continuous early-stage monitoring.
Training fields with diverse terrain and live bird exposure from day one.
Easy access to our adjacent aviaries for consistent scent and bird work.
