A Legacy of Land and Purpose

Friend in Field is proud to call Fort Motte, SC  home — a family owned property rich in tradition and natural beauty, the land operates as a working preserve where both wild and captive-bred quail, chukar, and pheasant are released.

The diversity of the terrain—from rolling upland cover and oak bottoms to gulleys and numerous ponds and streams —offers our dogs authentic exposure to the environments they’ll work in. With multiple bird pens adjacent to our facilities, our dogs are immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of the field from their earliest days.
